It's Smoothie Time!

You just finished saving the city (or lifting weights) 
Maybe you just ran around the earth twice (or a mile)

But facts are facts, your body just got WORKED and you need to recover properly!

My favorite recovery smoothie is SIMPLE (af) with only three ingredients!

AS ALWAYS: All my smoothies/shakes are Gluten Free and Vegan
You'll need:

  • 1/2 Cup Frozen Pineapple
  • 8-10 Oz Coconut Water
  • 1 Serving Protein Powder

So why is this my go to when I get done working out?

Pineapples are the BOMB
They've got 

  • Vitamin C
  • Manganese
  • Vitamin A
  • Vitamin K
  • B Vitamin's
  • Calcium
  • iron
  • Magnesium
  • Phosphorus
  • Potassium
  • Copper (pineapple pipes, bro)

The carbohydrates in the pineapple fuel your body as it recovers so that your body doesn't eat the protein in your body for energy! 

The antioxidants in this fruit help fight the stress of muscle recovery! YOUR BODY IS SAYING THANKS ALREADY!

So why coconut water?

It rehydrates you better than anything else out there! It's loaded with potassium, and helps reload all the sodium you just sweat out! 

Protein Powder?

Protein is the building block to muscle, but your body is only going to use it if you've recently stressed those muscles out! GIVE YOUR BODY THE BUILDING BLOCKS! (also, did you know it's a myth that you need to get protein within 30 minutes of your workout? You've got a few hours so don't stress)
